What: “1031 Exchanges – Essential Concepts”
The student will learn the following:
- Federal Internal Revenue Service regulations regarding various exchange structures, the legal and tax implications, and the calculations necessary to determine if exchanging or selling is more appropriate.
- Topics cover what the law dictates for like-kind properties, exclusions, time deadlines, contract preparation, and tactics to reduce liability.
- Also covered will be non-tax reasons to conduct and IRS 1031 exchange.
